The brush roll itself may end up breaking through some means. It does not appear to be getting power. The vacuum may have automatically shut itself off. If the unit still does not start, the problem is in the power head. If you have any pets, then there is a chance that they could have chewed through the cable. If this is not the issue, then the brushbar itself may be damaged or stuck. A cleaner that starts but then loses power might be overheating, and the culprit could be something as simple as a small (and inexpensive) motor carbon brush. Each section is connected to the other with a connector. The modern filters are washable and can be used several times by washing.
